I’ve got one counseling session today, but I’ve got a lot of paperwork to do.

In the counseling session I approached to help heal a family that was badly hurt after four years of being mangled by lawyers and courts.

Before I got to my paperwork… (I’m escaping from them)… gardening. I’ve been thinking about this one too, but I’ve been too busy and leave it for a long time…

I repotted some Dracaena in a bigger pot that I bought at a hundred-yen shop and grew up. And I also repotted a Rieger Begonia that I bought today in a slightly larger pot, and I planted some new sprouts of Yucca that came out of a tree that I cut down, and I felt better.

By the way, it takes a lot of time and effort to grow green plants, flowers, and people, too. And they don’t grow at our convenience. If you listen to their wishes and respond to them, they will grow up in their own way. If you push your wishes on them, they will either become strangely distorted or wither away…nothing good will come of it. Greens and people are the same. Living things grow…in their own way. You either accept it for what it is or you don’t…it’s really good just being themselves.

The basic principle of my nurturing is “listen and respond”, and then they grow up to be different from my expectations, which makes me happy and surprising, and sometimes they respond to me more than I expected. Both are a joy to nurture.

Oh, yes, urgent news…

I will hold a regular group workshop at Yoyogi on November 22nd and a men’s counselling course at the same location on November 23rd. We will be able to stay there. If you would like to attend and stay overnight, please let me know as soon as possible.
